Red Bank Middle School

Chorus of the Atlantic meeting outside Red Bank Middle School

The Chorus of the Atlantic is a male a capella ensemble.  We perform throughout Monmouth County at town concerts, the County fair, and other events.

Join us Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm at Red Bank Middle School.

Ordinarily we sing inside the auditorium.   We are masked and socially distant when inside.  We ask that guests bring proof of vaccination.

Sheet music is available for you to follow along.  Join us and have fun singing with other men who enjoy harmony under the direction of Craig J. Page.

Matinee Idles

The Matinee Idles is a barbershop chorus that meets and performs during the day (their wives won't let them out at night.) "Most of us," in the words of their long-time member, Tom Cameron,"are retired, semi-retired, or just plain tired." However, don't call them senior citizens; they think of themselves as recycled teenagers. And they still look at girls. Only they can't always remember why.

The Matinee Idles perform regularly at luncheon meetings, club meetings and other occasions where light-hearted entertainment is called for. Their usual program is a blend of upbeat tunes, seasoned with some inspirational music and well loved patriotic songs and blended with a touch of humor. If your club or service organization is looking for ways to enliven your meetings, try the Matinee Idles.

Telephone: Phil Wilderotter (732) 229-7687 or simply email us.

Barbershop singing is a wonderful hobby for men of all ages who like to sing and can carry a tune. And besides the joy and fun of singing, barbershopping offers warm fellowship and lots of very enjoyable social activities. Come and try it out!

The Red Bank Area Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society is part of a worldwide organization of people who love to sing 4-part barbershop harmony. We provide an enjoyable social and educational environment where members come together to sing, striving for excellence in musical performance. Our Vision is to promote the highest quality of chorus singing for both the performer and the audience.

We welcome visitors, especially those who think they might like to join us in song. If you can carry a tune and enjoy singing, chances are you will fit right in.
